So I tried to find a sweater similar to mine for less than 20.00 but I couldn’t. I did find one under 30.00. If you guys would like a DIY/how to on the sweater, just let me know.  As you guys can see, I’m loving the faux fur vest! It’s just so versatile! I’m thinking of doing a look book/ how to style with just this faux fur vest alone. My purse was actually just a clutch but I needed a mini cross body bag that was a little more flatter than my mini Betsy Johnson bag. I borrowed the strap from that bag and added it to my clutch. I received so many compliments on my “bag”.

Full Lace Wig: Hot Season Hair

So I wanted to stop by with the long awaited review on my full lace wig that I purchased from Aliexpress vendor, Hot Season Hair. I had to take a while to start posting more so at the request of the vendor. Now that I have all of the “right” components, I’m ready to give you guys the info on this hair.

I had the wig colored professionally to a two toned brown/ blonde combo. 

We added 1 1/2 bundles of 18 and 20 inch Mongolian kinky Curly to the wig for fullness. 

Initial review: 

My boyfriend ordered the hair on Wednesday night in September. I received a call from the merchant , Anna, that same night. She wanted to verify my order before she fully processed it. That’s when I found out that my boyfriend had accidentally ordered the wrong type of wig. I messaged Anna and she fixed it at a discounted rate. I took 48 hours for the hair to get processed and shipped. I received the wig the following Thursday.  It arrived via DHL. It came wrapped in your standard DHL packaging but the wig it self was inside of plastic placed in a box. I appreciated that. The seller also provided a gold braclet as an added gift. 

The hair did not have the infamous corn chip smell. 

   
    

Coloring the hair:

So if your familiar with my blog and reviews, then you know that Kameshia Norris Jackson is my hair stylist. I decided to let her color my wig prior to the install. When she colored the hair the color took but not as well or as fast as any of the other hair that we’ve used in the past. The hair also shedded and tangled due to the bleach that was added to obtain the color. It also stretched the curls. Because I had ordered 150 density, it helped with keeping the wig to not look as thin. 

Install

I have the wig sewn down on one side and glued/taped on the other. I have glue on the side that I have my side cut on. 

   
 
Products used on this hair

I use a spray bottle of water/conditioner ( The Family Dollar Store Version of Hello Hydration by Herbal Essence) and  a curl spray product called Kenra. It’s holding setting is 8. This product was recommended to me by my hair stylist. To detangle the hair I use my ConAir paddle brush and/or my Modessa wide tooth comb.  I tried Pantene’s natural’s line on the hair but I did not like how it left the hair feeling.  

   
I ended up contacting Anna to let her know about how much hair was lost from the wig after coloring it and that I wanted to purchase bundles to bring fullness back to the wig. She sold me the hair at a discounted rate for my troubles.  The next few pics will show you how much of a difference was made after adding the bundles

   
   
Pros and Cons

Pros: 

Hair takes color 

Easy to blend with kinky textured hair

Has adjustable straps and combs for every day removal

Will Detangle with extra effort 

Hair is full lace so that the hair can be pulled up

Very High maintenance 

Can not sleep in without two strand twisting the hair or pineapple to the top of head

Would I recommend this hair:

So far I will say yes. Now with that being said I only say yes under these circumstances. First if you are a low maintenance, get up and go type girl like myself this wig would be the wig that you want to NOT get sewn down on your head. You would need to take advantage of the combs and adjustable straps. This hair is VERY high maintenance as most kinky curly hair is. It will shed and it does tangle at the nape area. If you don’t Detangle  the hair fast enough it will matt. I have not ran into any problems dematting  or detangling the hair. 

If you have the time to two strand twist your hair before bed and style it daily  then this hair is perfect to sew down on your head.  Overall I would recommend this hair.  If you run into any problems, Anna is always willing to help.  Their customer service is on point!

Final Review: Carina Hair Co and World’s Best Hair

Hey Guys! I wanted to stop by with the final review for my grey and blue ombré hair from Aliexpress vendors Carina Hair Co and World’s Best Hair.

I wore the hair sewn in for 4 months. I had the Carina Hair Co, which I ordered in 413 blonde, ombred by my hair stylist Kameshia Norris-Jackson. I left the World’s Best Hair in its 1b color. 

One week Review
One Month
The hair’s behavior:

Carina Hair Co: 

This hair had minimal shedding. It did tangle but it did not mat at all.  It took both colors really well. It held curls from a wand and flexi rods. The only problem that I had with this hair was when I used a product from Bed Head to get the hair bone straight. It stripped the hair of a good bit of color and caused it to become stiff. I let the hair sit in conditioner and it bounced right back. 

World’s Best Hair

At the price point that I paid for this hair, this hair performed great! It also had minimal shedding with little to no tangling and no matting at all! This hair actually did not have a bad reaction to the Bed Head product. I believe it was because the Carina Hair Co was colored and the Worlds Best Hair wasn’t.  This hair looked thin but once installed, it didn’t appear as thin. I also had a vixen so that will help out with the fullness when using this hair. 

Would I recommend these companies?

Yes! I only paid 187.00 for four bundles and a closure. The maintence and upkeep on the hair isn’t a lot. I will say though it is about finding products that will work with the hair. This hair, especially the World’s Best Hair is great for the budgetnista. I will be installing the hair on a dome cap so that I can slide it on and off.

1 month review and 2nd wash

  

Hey guys! I just wanted to stop by with my one month review on this hair from Carina Hair Co and World’s Best Hair.

So I have been wearing this install for a month. The shedding has increased from both companies but it’s not excessive. The hair does tangle but it hasn’t matted. To combat the dryness to the hair, I add a little bit of coconut oil.  I simply detangle the hair by using a flat paddle brush that I’ve had for years from Con-Air.  I go back and forth between using heat and flexirods.  I sleep with the hair in a satin bonnet with either flexirods or the hair pinned with a bobby pin.

OOTD: Styling a Granny Piece

Hey guys! Guess who’s back? First let me start off by apologizing for my LONG hiatus. I had a lot going on in my life. But enough with the excuses, let me jump right into the post. 

So I love thrifting! I’ve purchased so many different items during the summer that I can’t wait to show you guys through different post. The item that I am featuring is a Jersey Sleep Shirt orginally from Sears. The brand is Tropical Escape. I paid .50 for it from my local Salvation Army.

  
So I decided to style it with my vintage Denim Lee Jacket, my boyfriend’s Aztec five panel hat from Forever 21 and my Aztec print slip on’s from Rugged Warehouse by the brand Twisted. 

I chose this shirt because of the size, fit and style. I feel like the fact that it resembles a baseball jersey. I can’t wait to use this in my next segment.

First Wash and Useful Products

Hey guys! I wanted to stop by with an update on this hair that I am currently wearing from the companies Carina Hair Co and Worlds Best Hair. Links to my initial review and one week update will be linked below. 

Yesterday I went for my first wash on my hair since the install. Because I’m natural, I only let my stylist wash my sew ins. The Carina Hair Co hair returned to its wavy state after its first wash. The World’s Best Hair hair had a wave pattern but it wasn’t a prominent as before.  Both companies’ hair are still shedding minimally and I am getting no matting what so ever. The tangling is manageable. It’s nothing that a paddle brush won’t get rid of. 

The products that are used to maintain this hair are:

Yesterday was my birthday!!! I turned 29 years old! I work a full time job along side being a blogger and a home based business owner. I was really drained and I wasn’t going to do anything for my birthday. I finally realized that I was born on the best holiday ever, so the least I could do was partake in some of the festivities. 

I wanted to rock something that I haven’t worn In any ootd but still be comfortable. 

So what did you guys do for Cinco De Mayo? Not only did I eat some wonderful Mexican dishes, I went shopping! I have a birthday haul coming soon!!!!
